Why Remanufactured Ink Cartridges?

Purchasing remanufactured ink cartridges are a great way to save money while receiving excellent quality and preserving the earth. Original equipment manufacturers (OEM) provide ink and toner cartridges to their customers but at high costs. During the remanufacturing process the shell or the body of the ink cartridge is thoroughly inspected and re-used. The cartridge is then disassembled and the internal components of the cartridge is inspected. During this inspection the mag roller, wiper and drum are replaced with new ones. Ink is put back into the cartridge, the cartridge is sealed and ready to hit the market. During each phase of the remanufacturing process, quality control thoroughly monitors and qualify or disqualifies cartridges. Upon approval cartridges are professionally packaged and ready for delivery.
The cartridges go through another process with the Standardized Test Methods Committee (STMC). STMC evaluates the ink and toner cartridges to measure performance. The remanufacturing companies go through extensive and extreme measures to ensure the quality,
performance and reliability of the cartridges.
Did you know some OEM's use recycled parts to manufacture their cartridges? The process by which OEM's and remanufacturing companies manufacture there products are pretty much the same. The OEM holds the patent to the product which allows them to say that they are the original manufacturer. Remanufacturing companies do not have this luxury because they do not own the patent.

A customer can get that same cartridge from a remanufacturing company for half the price, in some cases.
