Goal of Education

The life without an aim is the considered to be the life without any direction.  It is a journey which ultimately reaches to a destination and to reach to the destination of your choice you must set goals. Goal setting helps you to end up what your right destination are and where do you want to be in future.

After understanding the importance of the goal setting one must start setting thegoal. When it comes to set the goal of personal or profession life one must start off with what is most important in your life. First the short term goals should be set and then one must set the long term goals and start working to achieve those objectives. 

Some key areas in which one might set personal goals include: health, family, career, education and personal growth.  Now compare the short term and long term goals to check out if your short term goals are helpful to attain the long term set goals and remember to list

down the required working to achieve your goal. (Cole, 1996)When your goal is interesting for you and you are exciting about achieving it and to reach to your set destination you will start enjoying it and find it personally meaningful.

As Man entered  into the 21st century he began to realize the unprecedented importance of education and setting the educational goals as it was during the previous century that he started to feel the profound importance of education and the pivotal role it can play in the progress and development if any nation or individual.

I have some educational goals for the betterment of my future which include taking admission to university for th e higher education and to get trained for many special leadership programs to prepare myself for the successful professional life.  The sound knowledge of information technology has helped me to set my educational goals to a great extent.There are many reasons for pursuing for the university .One of the major roles of a university is to transmit the results of research to the channels of action in society. Recognizing the responsibility, universities provide a variety of extension services. (Cole, 1996)

A large share of the adult education activities of universities is devoted to management and human relation subjects, and to technical training. In addition to courses and conferences, many university programs undertake tailor-made programs for particular organizations or groups. My first goal will ultimately help me to achieve my second goal because Organizations frequently use university-based development courses, conferences, and faculty services, as well as outside consultants.

 These resources assure a wider base from which to draw ideas and talent; they enrich and extend organizational programs, and support internal programs such as coaching. My goal to train myself professionally for a good career is possible to achieve if I pursue for university education. To excel in my professional life in future it is necessary to excel in the university . Regardless of the fact what field is chosen, the bottom line of the entire argument is calculated in terms of income that your academic expertise can provide you especially in contemporary times.

In such situations there are basically two types of educational problems that students are normally confronted with. One and an important one is regarding the selection of a proper vocation to pursue their future in and second, is to excel themselves in the field to the extent where they feel to have a complete understanding of the professional dynamics involved in the profession. Scholars and philosophers of different eras have clearly stated that education is something which does not end. Therefore thinking that the process of education or getting educated will ever cease is completely hypothetical in approach. But despite of the fact that education is a life-long process, once cannot practically implement upon the meaning of the terminology.

Knowledge of Web 2.0 has helped me in the decision of setting the goals and I am hopeful that the expertise in web 2.0 will further help me in achieving my educational and professional goals. I keep myself in the social networking sites and keep gaining the right directions on the way to reach to the destination. Web 2.0 site helps the internet users to communicate and take advise from each other. It further allows people to work in collaboration in a social media discussion as creators of in a virtual community.

Web 2.0 has also helped me achieve my second goal to be trained as I have an opportunity to take the professional trainings online.  The social networking sites and blogs are helpful to get training session on internet. During the collaborated online work or discussion on web2.0   the individual learns skills and more knowledge necessary to meet the requirements of the job. Training is indispensable to increase productivity and job performance but higher education is my basic goal to further achieve my other educational targets.
